Arun Jaitley Announced: Reduction In Petrol And Diesel Price Rs 2.50 Per Liter : The Modi government has announced a reduction in petrol and diesel price Rs 2.50 per liter while providing relief on oil prices. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the central government will reduce the excise duty by Rs 1.50 while the oil companies will reduce the price of 1 rupee. The Finance Minister also urged the State Governments to reduce VAT on oil prices. Explain that the increase in prices of crude oil in the international market has led to the rising prices of petrol and diesel in India. Finance Minister said that the reduction in excise duty will give the economy a burden of Rs 10,500 crore.

Prices of petrol and diesel are continuously rising. On Thursday, the price of petrol was increased by 15 paise and diesel prices increased by 20 paise per liter. Public oil marketing companies said in a notification issued Thursday that petrol and diesel prices have been increased by 15 paise and 20 paise per liter respectively. After this increase, petrol in Delhi has now reached Rs 84 per liter and diesel has reached Rs 75.45 per liter. This is the highest level of both times. While the price of petrol in Mumbai has crossed Rs 91 per liter.
